Real Facebook Ad Example
Supplement Company Facebook Ad:
This Ad has was a very successful Ad for this client. With this single Ad alone bringing in over $10,000 in sales. The reason it has been so successful is because it acknowledges and even points fun at the hype in the supplement industry when companies claim their supplement ‘heals everything’.
Now of course, most companies don’t just outright claim there supplement heals everything. But they very much do give off that vibe a lot of the time. And this type of marketing and energy creates a lot of distrust in the market place.
And this is something that a lot of supplement companies are going up against. A genuine distrust in the marketplace because of a lot of hypey and false promise marketing.
Now a lot of companies push back at this by becoming hypey or pushy themselves. Which only further creates distrust to potential customers.
Instead of just ignoring or pretending this objection doesn’t exist in the marketplace for supplement companies. I chose to address this objection directly (an important copywriting principle) by acknowleging it the copy and completely flipping it and using it as a way to promote the clients product.
Which worked massively in their favor as was seen with the engagement and subsequent sales of over $10,000.
The Ad Copy:
“This supplement will heal everything.”
Is what many companies try to claim…
We are sure you have been roped in by many companies who claim to have supplements that will finally heal everything.

- We weren’t trying to make the product claim to be the only supplement you will need to heal your gut and even acknowledged that it takes additional lifestyle and dietary changes which when paired with the supplement makes healing the gut even more powerful. This is a very important stance to take in the health industry, never hype up your product or service too much. Instead use comparisons and add additional value by making other tips and suggestions and let these do the talking for you. You will go a lot further in building people’s trust this way
- Also make note of the headline used “Not a Magic Pill (But Close)” your headline is one of the most important aspects of any piece of copy or Ad so you want to make sure you get it right. In the case of this Ad we used the common objection of “Magic Pill” and then used it to our advantage by saying outright that we weren’t a magic pill. And then put in parentheses (But close). Which builds trust with people and then a little intrigue because of the ‘But Close’. The idea for this originally came from hearing that one of the company’s clients actually state that “It’s the closest thing to a magic pill.” Remember your clients and customers will often give you the best ideas for your copy, so always be listening to and researching your audience.
- Also notice this Ad is quite lengthy. Contrary to what you might think long form Ads can actually do better than super short Ads in many cases. You don’t want to go overboard of course. But it’s Ok and even effective to run longer from Ads.
